I need to ask for some help from my fellow Mopar enthusiast, I am sure what I am going to ask has been asked at least once in the months / years b-bodiesonly have been around.

I own a 1970 Coronet 440 and I want to make it into a R/T clone. Yes I know some may frown at this; however, one - I cannot ever escape the VIN number and two - my thoughts are that I like to build it as if I was going to buy it new. Anyhow, what I am looking for is what I would need to change from the 440 to make it a R/T clone...for example the side scoops (which I have) and the tail panel and rear lights.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Unless you already have the 440 you would be much better off looking for a Coronet 500. The R/T is basically just a 500 with the 440 engine, emblems suspension, dash, etc.

I already own the 440 and I know it would be easier to a superbee off of it since it is the base model of the bee....But leave it to me to be difficult I like the R/T..lol

Dash and interior would be different, and hood scoops. If your getting rid of a bench seat let me know.

i say build it the way you want it and enjoy it

I did , BTW i would love to do the samething some day with a 70 coronet convertible love them .

Do you mean I should put a superbird nose and superbird rearwing on my car:rolling:

Its already a R/T-clone:yes: missing the sidescoops in picture, now I only miss the R/T badge above the glovebox to "bee" complete as a factory R/T
