For decades, owners of 1970 Coronet and Super Bee models have had few options when it came to replacing a damaged original grill on their 1970 Coronet or Super Bee. They could try to find an original that was still in good shape or they could opt for a refurbished one or locate an expensive NOS grill.

The problem with most used grills, is that they have a tendency of cracking all the way around the outer perimeter of the surround, eventually getting so bad that the surround distorts and warps making for a very unsavory look at the nose of the car.

When restoring one of these cars, you can try to glue these cracks or reinforce the fins in that location, but the effort is often futile and in vain, as the design is simply a weak spot in every original 1970 Coronet grill that eventually just gives way to the elements and damage caused by vibration.

Thanks to the R&D team at OER who recognized this void in the market, and invested in all-new tooling, we are pleased to announce that reproduction grills and related components for 1970 Coronet and Super Bee are now IN STOCK and ready to ship.

If your 1970 Coronet or Super Bee needs a new toothy smile, Classic Industries is here to help. The grills are finished in argent silver paint. Refer to the following item numbers.

*MB9910 - Silver/Black Grill Set includes: LH and RH grills.

Thank you for the question. We do not believe that the red pinstripe ever made it to production. Although, some of the pre-production advertising and literature showed images of vehicles with the red accent, we have never seen a production car with the red stripe, and every "expert" we have asked seem to concur that the red never made it to production vehicles.

Additionally, during the collection of samples for tooling, we never came across a grill with the red stripe as an original feature. This grill is finished in black like the high performance models. If you prefer an all silver finish, like the base models had, they will require a coat of paint.
