Hello guys and gals, I just started my car after a long dorment period (winter) and noticed shortly after start up that my gas gauge and oil pressure gauge went down to "zero". I tested the voltage limiter as per factory service instruction by placing testing light on temp sending unit with key in on position and there was no flash which means faulty voltage limiter in dash. Has anyone else had similar experience or possible or fault causes just in case?????

Yes, I have had all gauges except alternator voltage do that. It is a poor connection in the wiring harness at the bottom part of my steering column area.

Thanks for sharing your experience.....I needed other answers just in case.....

I just ordered the guage kit in the picture. Damn Classic Industries put it on the back cover of their Mopar catalog, so I see it every time I sit on the crapper (lol). Wound up getting a killer deal (cheaper than $903 from Classic w/MEM16 discount) from a "local" distributor. Even after I cleaned the potentiometer on my stock dash dimmer, although the brightness improved, it was still hard to see the gauges at night. Problem solved, now I just have to install them. I decided to get the red backlight since that won't affect my night vision.

I replaced my voltage limiter with the Charger Specialties electronic unit. I also added their electronic oil pressure gauge. Works perfectly.

Just got the gauge set today. Very nice! I see why the tach is included (not optional) all of the gauges are in a single enclosure. I'm excited about this, this isn't JUST replacement gauges, this IS updated and advanced technology and a big step up (IMO) on quality.
