Hi,

I am assembling my 70 air grabber for my Road Runner. My 70 FSM does not have any diagrams of the 70 AG (it has the 69!!). I searched the forum and also came up empty.

Specifically, I am looking for the gaskets and pieces that attach to (or come in contact with) the hood scoop. An exploded view diagram would be awesome. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks, as always...

Sorry I can't take a better pic right now....car is elsewhere in storage. I have found that the large reproduction seal will have at least one screw hole which does not line up with the air-box shell. You will also need the correct speed clips and nice self-tapping hex-headed screws.

Photon & Kiwi: Thank you both!

I have worked through the airbox to air cleaner seal and found what you stated Kiwi. Luckily, I had my original seal, and although brittle, it was a good guide.

Photon: Thank you for this diagram. It is very helpful. However, notice that it doesn't show any gaskets. I know there is a airbox to hood seal, and there should be one between the hood and the scoop. Are there other seals? I especially would love to see a diagram of the hood scoop, although there doesn't seem to be one.

Thanks for the help to get this thing back together right!

70 AG Hood Scoop Pictures?

So I understand that there are rubber seals that go on the side of the air grabber hood scoop. There is a thread where we discussed this a while back. (http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?69002-70rr-air-grab-hood-flap)

The picture of a hood scoop on that thread is of a 71-72 scoop which is slightly different. Also, as you can see in the pictures below, I have two sets of two gaskets. Do these just sandwich together? Do I also need to cut the same notches out of them as shown on the 71-72 scoop?

If someone has a picture of a 70 hood scoop with these seals, and or some instructions how to mount the seals, I would greatly appreciate it - the seals were gone from my car when I got it.

Thanks,

Hawk

So I never got a shot of the 70 hood scoop, so I tried to copy the 71-72 hood scoop. Hopefully this is right but I really don't know.

Note that I used the leather punch to make holes for the screws. Otherwise the rubber did not fit nicely.
