Any of you have a stash of 70 Roadrunner 440+6 under hood survivor photos?

I can take as many pics as you like, but here’s a couple that are on my phone.

Thanks you Cosgig! What a time capsule you have there! Have any near the negative battery cable to battery and the smaller wire on the cable to the core support? Mine me asking which plant it was built at and month it was scheduled to be built?

The car is a Lynch Rd car, SPD is 10-1-69. It’s funny that you ask about the negative battery cable, as that is the reason that it was taken off the road in 1978. Somebody opened the hood, cut the battery cables, and stole the battery. In the words of Jerry, the original owner….”I knew they would be coming back for my “tri-power”, so I just pushed it in the garage and never drove it again”. I do have the receipt for a pair of battery terminals, so at one point he was contemplating getting it running again, but he told me he started adding up the cost of things he thought it needed, and when he got to $2k, he threw up his hands and just let it sit. That was sometime in the 90’s.

I changed the positive battery cable to one I bought from Mancini, the negative cable is just how I got the car, I don’t know how it got that way, but it’s not a bolt on end so I just leave it. Jerry also installed an Accel dual point distributor in 1971, and he was rather proud of that piece, so I was just going to leave it the way I got it. But on one of my shakedown runs when I was just getting it back up and running, one of the stand-off blocks on a set of the points collapsed and stranded me down the road. I had a complete electronic ignition setup on hand, so I switched over to that, and sent the Accel unit to Ray (Halifaxhops) to be rebuilt, and it came back ready to go. I haven’t installed it yet, I just drive it the way it is for now. It’s too much fun!
