Have a 1970 B Body RoadRunner that I would like to put an aftermarket column on. However I am not finding anything available, they all seem to stop at 1969 as far as fitment goes according to the manufacturers like Ididit and Flaming River. So what gives here? Is it just wiring, physical fitment, to short, no one had a definite answer for me.

Thanks for your help! I cross posted this into this section because its probably more fitted into this category.

70' has the ignition switch in the column, 69' and down the ignition switch is on the dash. You could make one for a 69' fit, but you'll need to get an ignition switch located on the dash.

I used a Flaming Rivers Column on my 70 Super Bee, only Mod I had to do was to the wiring connection as stated above the original the ignition switch is on column. I rewired dash mount using an extra Charger harness I had, can be done in an afternoon.

AWESOME! The ideal location for us was on the dash anyway. Thanks!

Do you happen to remember the diameter and length you used?

I just went back to get the order info from Flaming Rivers and they now offer column for the 70 with Key, so that makes wiring a null deal. I used the 30" tilt column for the floor shift.

Sweet!
