1970 RoadRunner rear marker light ground

I was in the process of installing the tail light covers on my 1970 roadrunner and was wondering if this ground wire from the rear marker light to the tail light housing is correct or not. If not, should the wire go to some other part ground.jpg or does it just ground through the housing to body. Thanks and I have attached a photo for reference.
 
You will probably get a better ground connection under the large nut holding the quarter extension piece just above the tail light housing. That's what I did for the side markers and the tail lights. :icon_thumleft:
