1970 Satellite

Found a pretty good Craigslist deal. Gonna be new to MOPAR. I really love how the gtx looks and will probably aim for that. But what is the difference between the gtx and roadrunner, satellite, and coronet?

"RS" VIN GTX- 440 standard, 440+6 and Hemi optional, factory sway bars

"RP" VIN Sport Satellite- upscale interior- 318 standard, 383-2and 383-4 optional, sway bars optional

"RH" VIN Satellite- 318 standard, 6 cyl, 383-2 and 383-4 optional, sway bars optional

"RM" VIN Roadrunner- 383-4 standard, 440+6 and Hemi optional, factory sway bars

...and "RL" VIN Belvedere- base model six cyl std, most everything optional including carpet

"WH" VIN Coronet- Dodge equivalent of Satellite

Cool thanks for info. I'm finding parts here and there online but what's the norm? Is it usually hard to find parts for these cars? IE: lines, a/c, brake master cylinders, radio bezels, etc.

tail lights grill and faux side vent.. the dash isnt easy to find cheap ... most of the parts are available but because they also go with the Roadrunner and GTX they arent as cheap as they should be ... RR's and GTX sell for decent money, Sport Satellites dont but you pay the same for parts.. So.... if this is a keeper do as you will, if you're looking to make money on it forget it... unless your buying a real nice car for real cheap you wont sell it for more than you will have into it.
Other than that its about the exact same car.

68-70 B body cars have almost as much aftermarket support as E body cars.

You can almost bulid one from scratch.

There are some things that are 1970 specific, that are not exactly the same as 68/69.

I'm currently a 66/67 and 71-74 guy, so I'll let the real 68-70 guys elaborate.
