Here is my new found problem.

Just finished the seat upholstery for a 1970 charger. I ordered the correct seat back covers but found they were shorter than what was on the seats. After researching this I found that the 70 seats were two pieces, seatback, and metal hinge covers.

My question is this. Can I use the 71 or older seat back, and will the buttons line up to adjust the seat (circled in red). Or, do I need to use the 70 seat back cover and hope to heck I'm able to find the metal hinge covers. I ordered new 71-74 seatbacks, and I am able to return the 70 seatbacks if I can use the 71-74's.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated

I’m doing this same thing on my 70 Road Runner right now.
1. If your seat back covers are shorter, they are not correct.
2. 71-74 B-body seat back covers won’t fit
3. The seat back covers that WILL fit are
70 b-body
70-71 a-body
70-74 e-body
4. Same years/makes for hinge covers (I have a partial extra set if needed)
