Still failrly new to this, but is there any difference in the wire harnesses for the rallye dash wiring through those years71-74. Thank you for any help. Trying to help another car guy out and i have 72s he has 73

71 is one monster

72/73 are totally interchangeable but got some diff between them ( hideaway relay trigger provision, more acc provisions on 72 )

74 are another diff monster too

Ty for the info. A guy was asking if a wiring harness from my 72s would work to replace his melted 73s. Just wanted to make sure before i sold him the harness..

Not sure about about all the difference between 73 and 74, but I do know the 74 dash gauges panel is the same. The 74 hardness in the engine compartment has a relay to control the starting when seat belts are connected. Only 74 models require all front seats belts must be connected to enable starting the engine when passengers are in the seat. disconnecting the sensor in the seat will over ride this requirement, therefore the dash hardness is differ

Yes! 74 are diff monsters on everything BUT of course rallye cluster conections and several stuff more match perfectly. Mostly of diff between 74 and earliers are related to the interlock and warning buzzer systems what makes also to turn around some wires here and there on bulkhead.

72 and 73 are diff between what I mentioned due the extra options 72s got, but buzzers systems works the same than 73 linked with NSS. JUST would be nice to check the bulkhead wiring disposition to be sure they match with engine bay wiring and if not, maybe swap some wire around.

71s are diff on wiper switch plug, driver side door jam switch, seatbelt warning light ( and fuel light if equipped ), No NSS signal to the cab, bulkhead wiring disposition and some stuff more.

If AC harness is attached to the underdash harness, need to use the one matching with control unit to be used, since 72 and 73 AC Controls change
