Hey everyone

I have a chassis manual and have used various sites online but just keep getting weights varying from 3500ish to 3800ish.

Does anyone know what a true weight both dry and with fluids is on 1971 Charger 500 318 auto car is with AC

If anyone have scaled their car for an accurate weight I would really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone

The AC is all out of her and I estimate it’s about 35-50 lbs worth of stuff. Stored away for the day when I have nothing left to fix, lol

SORRY
can’t edit the misspelled title

Weight obviously

Those cars are fat & even a 318 car has got to weigh in the neighborhood of 5,900 pounds dry.

My car is an RL, so it's got less trim and fluff, but with the bench seat swapped for buckets, it weighed 3700 at the scrap yard scale.

Take some scrap in the trunk and get it weighed for free!

Drive to local dump they will put it on scale.
3800 is about the number

My 383 SE scaled at somewhere between 4000 and 4100 with me in it and half a tank of gas. It's been so long I don't remember the exact number. I don't remember either if that was before or after I removed the A/C compressor. The official curb weight of a base '71 with a 318/auto was 3483. Since A/C was optional, I assume that was the weight of a stripper with no gas.

"Official curb weight" and "shipping weight" are complete fantasy land! Maybe if it ships without a trans in it ,they might be right. I would guess on the high side of your 3500-3800 lbs. My 69 runner weighs 3700 with a big block, but no air, and the 71s are heavier. @Wookie316 , a member here races his 71 charger, his is over 4100 with him in it.
