1 of 332 How many are left.....Track pack car that I bought 25 years ago. I did a title search on the car and spoke with the Veteran who brought the car back from Germany in the 70's where the car had been abandoned on post/base.
Car didn't run when I acquired it so I rebuilt the engine. The pad on the block is bare, never stamped. I'll check the date & update. Rebuilt w/stock pistons & rods. Anyway, I'm a big fan of used cams & lifters (Oh, the horror says the young or inexperienced 'mechanic'). Where that cam & lifters came from is another story. More than likely an HV oil pump etc. Car has Big tube headers. It did not have the original carb on it and my youngest son is a Carter carb guru so we put a big Thermoquad on it added a Mopar Performance orange box and the car screamed. Ran like a bat out of hell.....I'd run anybody, I never had a muscle car in my youth but I made up for it. Currently the engine is stuck. Ran when parked. I know plenty of tricks to unstick but it is to valuable of a block to risk it.
I parked the car 20 years ago to start on some resto work as the passenger rear floor pan was extremely rugged plus the windshield & backlight were leaking and had a small rust perforation in a corner or 2. So I pulled windshield & backlight and the car has sat in my driveway every since. Covered at first then cover gets ripped ......you know the rest of the story. Drivers floor pan previously only needed a small patch but now needs replaced. The all important doors are in great shape except 1 has a small are of rust that needs attention. Fenders & quarters need serious help. Although the exterior sheet metal is in bad shape the body subframes appear ok. Needless to say, this resto is not for the faint of heart
Original options as near as I could tell are power steering, pedal dress-up, mirrors and radio delete. I scored a radio delete instrument bezel years ago. Original Dana is there as is original skid plate k frame.
At some time prior, the original light gold interior was swapped out for a black Brougham interior consequently I have very few correct color interior trim panels.
$17000 OBO
