1971 Charger regular tail light vs R/T tailights

I know the differences from the outside. The bezels and lenses are certainly different but are the metal bulb housing parts different?

Housing and everything are different.

R/T housings

The standard 71 Charger tailllight assemblies are plastic,and the R/T ones are cast pot metal bezels,and housings. The lenses are not the same either.

I knew the bezels and lenses were different. I didn't the housings on the normals were plastic.
