Can someone please show or tell me how the and where the wires go that come out of the back of the tail light lenses, do the right and left harness's connect to each other?? what do the little clips on the wiring looms connect to? I just don't know where it runs to.

So there should be connectors on each tail light that are 1/2 male 1/2 female and those join together in the middle of the bumper. Looks like in your photo that there is one of those and looks like a liscense plate light connector, the single bullet connector. Also the wire hanging down appears to be marker light that goes back into the trunk and connects to the marker light. On the drivers side harness there should be a connector with 4 wires that connects to the harness inside the trunk.

Here is the wiring diagram, http://www.mymopar.com/downloads/1971/71SatelliteGTXRoadRunnerB.JPG
