I have not got one reply for the road runners in the parts car section. It would be a shame to trash these cars . As they sit I consider them parts cars none of them are driveable.

71 B-bodies must not be very popular . If they were 71 A-body 340 cars they would be gone with all that is here that goes with them. I may have to get some pics added with my sons phone before Monday. If I can't I will have to take the loss and scrap some of the parts the bodies. I'll keep the dicta-phone seats and the 440's and drive lines. And what ever I can use on my other A-body cars.

Since I wrecked the Duster I bought several other A-bodies that came up. Lost interest in the Roadrunner. and no time for them.

I'm afraid the day of the project car are over, at least for most folks. Why but a project that's in need of a total resto when you can buy a nice driver for a little more and get some value out the car right away? Back when you couldn't touch a 71 Roadrunner for under $30k, your cars were gold. Now you can get a nice driver for about $8k, and those are the cars sucking up all the money these days.

My suggestion to you would be to contact Mark Worman over there at Graveyard Carz. He's posted ads for early 70s Mopars for his boneyard out there, and you'll get more money from him than a scrapper.

Your forgetting that for many of us the hobby is just as much about the build as it is the end result. Myself, I'd never buy a completed car and am always looking.

I recently bought a 72 Sattelite, haven't started on it yet but will look it over to see if I need anything and let you know. I am looking for a Rally instrument cluster and bezel if you have one.

Sorry, posted before reading your add and just saw that you weren't parting them. For the condition of those cars you should be able to move them, be patient and advertise them well.

oldmanmopar, I seriously considered buying your cars. I thought your price was fair and have the cash, but after considering logistics and what else I have in the works, I thought it was best to pass. I already have two cars I'm trying to get back on road and a third sitting waiting in line. Now I wish I had a bigger barn, LOL.

Best of luck on selling the cars and fixing your Duster.

Well, let's be honest here. First, "many of us" includes you and some others, but I don't see you as the majority. I'm a member of three car clubs around here, and of the 100 or so members I know, only one is a die hard project guy. The other 99 or so have one or two cars that they've had for years and are always working on. They aren't out looking for a new sad case project to buy and stash out in the back 40 or garage in the hopes they'll get around to it someday. I suspect that "many of us" in the hobby are far more interested in searching for parts than searching for project cars that need parts.

I get that there are some folks who live for finding that diamond in the rough out in the weeds and spending their spare time everyday working to get it back into shape, but there's not many of you out there, and even fewer who will pay top dollar for what is essentially a parts car, then have to pay a grand or so on top of that to get it transported if it's too far away to go get yourself. That makes for a very small buyer population. You get lots of "I would LOVE to buy that, but..." communications but not a lot of "I'll be right over cash in hand" folks.

Op,i showed this to a few friends and we all had the same thoughts.
you need more pics on your ad,parts/etc.
the list of parts/collected/nos is impressive.
i think if you can show more, youll get more interest.

First of all, I'm sorry for your bad luck with the Duster.

Please take these comments constructively...

In your ad you state:

Take it all for one money,
Rallys on Duster were off the Roadrunner they are still perfect and and also included
I am not going to make a list. I don't have the time to sell separate.

But then in a later post, you state:

The rallies that were on the duster and AR's in boxes I may keep .

This is confusing...Is it everything or only what you can't use on another car?

Also, you are 2 hours away from Carlisle...
With the Chrysler show in July, is there any chance to bring some/all of the cars/parts there to sell?

Finally, I will be removing a driver's side quarter panel from my 72 Duster parts car if you are interested and haven't located one.

Thanks!
burg

After posting these cars and parts I decided to possibly keep The rallies that are on the Duster so it has wheels on it. The slicks no longer fit.
There are original 15x7's here for the cars. The Duster wheels are Wheels vintque. and are 15x8. The AR's I just recieved with the brown duster new in boxes . One of them is 4 3/4 bolt pattern boxed wrong just found that out. So That is the reason for stating I may keep them. This way there is no bad feed back.

Listen you seam like you only want parts. I am not selling off any parts extra or not. One money takes all available until Sunday night. If you don't have the cash or the time that is fine. The driveline parts alone are worth the asking price. Just keep your comments to yourself

I have had sold at Carlisle in the past and its a real pain. Load it up bring it back. I am sure I could sell off the rare parts to you cheap and then just deal with whatever you don't want. It aint happening. Move on.

Yep, I knew you wouldn't be able to take feedback constructively.
I'm not interested in your car or parts based on your attitude.

Just keep your comments to yourself

Actually, you posted in the "General Discussion" Forum...I am free to comment, just as you are free to use this thread to get people to look at your for sale ad.

You must not know me. The last thing I need is Duster parts Just bought 3 more. Unless you have a R-3 race motor for a decent price.

Two cars have titles, One here one on its way here.

To day is Wednesday . Sunday I will start listing the most valuable parts . on Ebay, Such as consoles with Cassete players, Perfect seats many of them , Rally dashes with tachs , , Complete R/T 440 motor and trans air cleaner to oilpan with manifolds, carb and trans, Things that will sell fast will be listed first.

I gave you all a chance at a package that I have more than double my asking price invested.

There are two complete running 440 motors and transmissions. Rears, drive shafts. I really don't care if the bodies get stripped and disappear at this point. Once the parts start getting sold I will not sell the cars they will be doners for new Hondas. 71 b bodies are not that popular unless you like them. Not many do. But some parts will also fit an E-body.

I know I can recoup the money I need at this time . I just thought it would be a good project for someone to take on. Everything is here. Evidently not much interest in these cars as projects. Most want them already done no matter the cost. The younger generation want A-bodies to build. I was offered more for my wrecked Duster than all three 71 b-body cars combined. I started stripping the Duster including the motor. Should be done by Saturday then the Roadrunners come in the shop to get parted. Got another camera if some on needs pics
