Did a mock-up for the 72 Charger. I extended the bracket to fit an RPM manifold. Do I have to extend the solid bar that goes down to the transmission?

As much as you raised the bracket, then you make the vertical longer by the same. Question is do you have room without hitting wiper motor, bulkhead or firewall?

The RPM is a great intake, but it causes more work to fit.

Thats a good question. I dont know at this point. Maybe a lower manifold would be easier. I do have a few lower manifolds.

Just realized I have a piece on upside down. That should bring it down another 1/2" at least.

Save yourself the hassle and run a Lokar kickdown cable. Reasonable price, easy to install and they work great. jmo

You will know more when the engine/trans are installed.

I ran the rpm manifold on 70-71 e bodies without much fuss. I remember spacing the bracket up with some was all. are the later b bodies the same firewall?

Firewalls are very similar, only a few minor differences.
