1972 B-Body BB Positive Battery Cable Length

I am reassembling my 1972 Charger after being off the road for 11 years. I routed the positive battery cable I purchased many years ago and it is too short unless I bypass the straps on the inner fender. Can someone provide a reference length for the positive battery cable required for a 1972 Charger with a 440? Thank you in advance.

Are you using a stock starter or a Mini starter?

Mini starter is your problem, you'll have to use a small block cable which is longer than BB cable.
