Finally decided I need to sell this car, I don't think I'm ever going to get around to it, and I tired of pushing it around my shop. Its an SE trim, with PS, PDB, rear defrost, A/C, hideaway headlights, originally a /6, 904, and 8 1/4 rear. Car has a minor amount of rust in the rear wheel wells, some in the drivers side fender, passenger floor pan, and a couple of small holes in the trunk. Was originally willow green that someone converted to blue at some point in the cars life. I pulled the car out of a junk yard in 02, then sold it in late 03, then managed to get it back on a trade in early 05 and its been sitting in my shop ever since (until I rolled it outside for the pics and space). The core support and front splash pan are damaged from someone who thought you could tow a car at those points (was like this in the yard). All the trim and front pieces are in the trunk, as a friend of mine was going to start working on it years ago, but then changed his mind. Car would be an easy resto for a competent shop, the only real problem is I don't have a clear title since it came from a salvage yard. I have the title with my signature on the back, but found the state of Texas won't allow me to transfer title until it is running and I have proof it passed state inspection, having tons of other projects always in front of it, I never got this part done. Not looking to make money on it, just would like to see it go to a good home that is going to get it back on the road, though it would be nice to get back out of it what I have in it. The best way to get a hold of me is my email:

Texas will allow you to "just title" the car without having it running or insured. If the person at your local courthouse doesn't understand that, then find another courthouse.

I grew up there. I should know

Oh yeah. Texas is a big place. You should narrow that down a bit. Might also help to give some idea of what you're looking for $$ wise

Really? Well, I'll check into it again then. I'm just outside of Austin in Bastrop county, totally forgot about that. :p I honestly don't know what the car is worth, that's why I put up make an offer.

For some value ideas......I just picked up a 74 Charger SE today.. factory 400/727 with 3spd wiper cruse control power disk breaks,console/slap stick,A/C,8 3/4 3:55 for $800.00 Can...The body is not as nice as yours but it does have a running 440 in place of the 400.It doesn't have bumpers either....I found another 1974 SE Charger listed at $2200.00 reduced to $2000.00 now at $1600.00 factory 400 column shift 60/40 bench

Thanks for the tip! I was actually able to get the title taken care of today. So I will have a clean title in about two weeks!

Not too bust your chops but the 72 SE had a very distinctive rear c pillar that was made from a plug. This is a regular charger from your pictures. The SE's also had different taillights for 72. Other than that it looks fairly complete.

Can you post the fender tag or VIN?

Well I got the SE from a VIN decoder years ago. Maybe it was wrong?

WH23C2C1XXXXX

Yep that's just a vanilla charger...a slant 6 car too

wh23 = charger 2 door hardtop
c = /6
2 = 1972
c = Not sure on what plant C is

The SE had a VIN beginning with WP and had the 318 as the base model engine. that would have a G code.

The Vin decoder I ran it through says that it is the Jefferson, MI plant. Could be a G though, hard to make out, if it is a G then it came out of St. Louis.

New owner just drove away with it on the trailer. Sad to see it go, but glad its going to a better home. Thanks FBBO!!

I hate that shipping to Canada was so much :mad: ....Nice body to start with!

While I KNOW that Chargers are "Muscle Cars" I would LOVE to see a 72 with a Slant 6 in it. BTW: That is the same green interior (and exterior) with bench that my 72 has... Base! Did it have the long speedo (not the little rounds)?
Oh and yeah, how much did it go for?

basel, read the posts! He sold it. The new owner drove it away on a trailer.
