1973 dodge charger ignition lock

Has anyone had any trouble before with there key not turning backwards for ACC? I have tried and tried and even used a little force and my key will not roll backwards for ACC for listening to radio without starting the car... anyone else had this issue before? what was your fix if so? its a column shift so there isn't a key lock like the console shift cars...

Recall some problems too long ago. Possible worn key and lock assy, suggest wiggling key up and down (orthogonal to the key turning axis), while turning the key CCW.

it is not a slap stick car,, its a factory column car and i put a cheetah shifter in the floor
