Hi everyone,

I'm back to bug you again because I can't let this 73 escape me...I think. I was talking with a family member over Thanksgiving dinner and he remembers this 73 Roadrunner as well.

So with that said and I'm really wanting this car. Who makes panels for these cars?

I know its going to need some panels and I can bet it will be the lower 1/4s, wheel housing, trunk pan and maybe floor pans. I'm really just guessing since I have not seen the car as of yet (for years) to really know.

I just really want to know if they make repair panels and who makes them.

Thanks everyone.

If there is anything out there, it's not much. You would do better buying a rust free satellite from out west and start drilling out your patch panels.

Thanks I saw that Tabco had 73-74 patch panels and was hoping someone had the Roadrunner panels. I do think I know of a guy with a Sat not sure of the year now. I'm sure I could find them from a yard out west.

Would 71-71 trun pans work?

I keep looking at the bodies and the 73-74 look either longer or the panels changed in a big way. I just can't my finger on it beside the body line (the line down the side of the fenders and quarters) is different.

AMD makes the floor and trunk pans except the under rear seat pan. Check with AMD and Goodmark. One might have the have quarter patches and the rear inner fender wells. Think Tabco just makes the Charger quarter skins. Thats about it on the 73/4B on the repro metal. I carry alot of original metal for the 73/4B's. Floors, frames, firewall/cowls, tail panels, ect, ect, ect.

Hey thanks for the info and also thanks for letting me know you sell the original metal.

Tell me if I had to replace the quarter panels and wheels housing. I saw a guy on youtube that had both sides shipped to him with the wheel housiand and trunk extensions still attached. Do you have a good set like that?

The father and son who own the car are not really car guys so that are not sure how the quarter panels are and trunk pan. I asked for the fender tag numbers and they were not sure where it was located. This is a car I really need to look at. I have emailed them a few times but they stopped replying so I will just call them and see about looking at it. They had three pics of the car and couldnt get any others for me. I also lost the pics on my computer.

So yeah give me some prices of the parts full quarters, half panels, trunk pans, extension and if you can or have them still all welded together let me know as well. You can pm them to me.

Thanks.

The new AMD 73/74 Plymouth B body patches are only for the lower rear portion of the quarter- from about the 12 0'clock position of the wheel arch back. That will save a few cars, but a "full" lower patch with all the wheel arch and rocker joint would have saved a LOT more.
They have a Trunk floor listed as "Charger", but it should be the same. They also have a dutchman panel listed as "72 Roadrunner", but I don't know what would be different between that and any other 71-74 B.

Be sure to check the cowl (esp the fresh air vent, and the hinge panel to cowl seam) and the frame where the K member bolts to it.
Lots of them rust there real bad (probably cause of that chrome trim the wipers sit on) and it's a real bitch to fix.

Thanks for the info on where to check the rust spots and on the parts as well. Is the 73-74 bodies wider or longer? They just look like they are to me. I think if I didn't have a connection to this car I would not be interested in it but I do like the 73-74s.

I also found a Ray Barton race Hemi that might look good in it but I'm a ways away from thinking about that. I also have that 75 Dodge truck that I could always do and put the motor in that.

The guy wants my AR-15 but wont do a straight trade on the car needs more. I think my AR-15 and 13 magazines with ammo was a good offer but he wants cash with it. I would be close to $1000.00 with that offer so I think I may offer a $1000.00 cash and see what happens after I look at it.

Trunk pans are the same for 71/3 2-door.
AMD sell the Plymouth dutchman which is a little different than the Charger. I'm not sure what is different, haven't checked for myself but will be doing so. Have a Charger pulled now and a Plymouth to still pull.

I don't have any good Plymouth quarters right now. Do have the wheel wells and trunk pan. Will have to check on extenions. PM me your e-mail for pictures and prices.
73/4 are the same size as 71/2 but have compltely different front clip. Body lines and wheel wells are different too.

Yeah the body line is different on them they just look longer and wider or something. I wonder if its the body crease is not there as much on the fenders and quarters and it just makes it look that way.

I will send a pm and I hope to go look at this car next weekend. I stepped on a nail the other night and its hard to walk right now so I hope to be able to walk better next week.

Yeah you can say that again! LOL its down the side of my toe and its about 2 1/2 inches long and really really deep cut. It has been hard to walk and wear shoes but getting better.

I was thinking of going to look at this car today if the guy is home but its sitting outside kind of in the field up on blocks and with the cut its hard to walk on un-even ground and I wont be able to bend over and look the car over as good as I like so I'm still thinking next week or weekend would be better.
