I found a 74 440 out of a motor home with 25,000 miles. would this motor be any better then a 75 440 out of a wagon or are they both gonna be about the same with low compression? Thanks

The motorhome motor may have a cam in it that would make lots of low/mid rpm torque.

Assuming these are factory engines that no one has messed with I would say there's not much difference. The motor home one may have different heads that provide better cooling around the spark plug but as far as performance I'd say it doesn't matter.

Could be wrong , but the MH one might have a steel crank. Check the balancer.
