long story short, the shop space i am renting for the restoration of my 1974 Charger is gonna be sold in about 6 months and i will have to move the charger back home into my small garage. therefore, i have until then to bang out as much as possible. my goal is to get it fully painted and on fresh suspension by then. but in order to paint i need to do all my fabrication before hand, but i dont have the time or budget to do so....

so onto my question; my car is a factory bench seat car, i want buckets. i dont have the money to buy the seats right now, so is there anyone on here that can measure their 71-74 charger/rr bucket seat mounting dimensions so i can modify my floor pan to accept bucket seats? that way i can get that out of the way in order to spray the lizard skin and paint the car before my deadline. thanks in advance :)

I just did a 72 charger bench to bucket conversion. 74 buckets into a 72 bench. If you plan to use stock buckets, like I did you should have dimples in the floor pan. Using the bench holes I drilled out said dimples closest to the tran hump . Put in a support plate on top. I haven't tried fitting the console yet but it looks right.

hmm, i didnt notice any dimples in the floor when i was in there last, but i wasnt really looking either. i'll chaeck it out next time i am at the shop working on the car. thanks :D

I'll try and take pictures and measure for you I have both a 72 and 74 gutted right now both factory buckets p.m. me your email address and I'll send over the pictures
