Speaking of belts, I need to pick up some belts for a friend but mine, I have a 73 and I know 74 is different. I know a fellow with some but I will have to pick from the several different years.
Can someone post or better yet email me some detailed pics of 74 (Charger) belts so I know what to look for, both ends please.
Thanks in advance,
Bob

No pics as I'm not at the shop, but-

Shoulder belts are integral with lap belts and a retractor that has a separate part of the rear "door panel" over it.

I have the original seat belts installed in my 74. I'll post a couple of photos. The front belts are unique to 74. The rear belts appear to be the same for several years.

Now that's interesting.

Mine are from an SE and that looks different than mine.

Edit- maybe not. I guess it's the shoulder anchor point in the rear panel, not the retractor.

Mine is a Rallye and as you can see has the bench seat. Bucket seats won't have the center front seat belt so only one female receiver on the passenger side for buckets as I understand it.

The difference is about the bench, buddy seat or buckets, not if SE or Rallye.

Rears are the same to 73/74

Totally diff from 71. I can't recall RIGHT NOW about 72 rears, but mostly sure the same than 73/74

Fronts 72/73 are the same

The passenger and driver seat belts that are shown in the top photo of my response #3 have the shoulder retractor anchored inside the rear panel and the waist belt retractor anchored to the floor as shown in my response #4 photo. I'm fairly certain that it is the same for bucket seats but Nacho may know the answer to that. Both of my 74s are bench seat cars.

The belt/retractor in front is the same to all 74s, difference to the bench, buddy seat and buckets is on female buckles... BUT it must be the same diff than 72/73 with the only diff with 74s than the belt sensor is on female buckles for them, not anymore on the lap belt retractor like 72/73.

Said this, the shape of the plastic molding acomodates accordingly to every front seats set. Being buckets of course with single buckle on passenger side obviously, not double for the center seat position
