UP FOR TRADE (1968-1974 MOPAR ONLY)
I have a 1984 W-150 stepside.
It is a 318 2bbl, auto 4X4. It runs and drives fine.
All new fluids (transmission, transfer case, front and rear diff, coolant, brake fluid.)
It has a reman carb from part store, and a new brake booster and master cylinder.
I have changed the nose to 1977/78(grill, hood, hood hinges, fenders, rad support, lower filler panel, and wiper panel)
I also still have all the things to turn it back to 1984(except the 1984 fenders)
I put por 15 on the bed floor, and I am going to install a wood bed kit I have.
My plan is a rat rod work truck, with a Midnight Express look.
I have a used set of chrome exhaust stacks, and a running 5.7 Hemi short block, that I was/am going to drop a cam and eagle heads on then install in the truck.
That is my plan for the truck.

Recently I had a guy stop by and offer me good money for the truck, BUT I am not trying to sell it, this is my work truck and winter vehicle.
But that got my wheels turning, My son is 18 now and I WOULD trade it for a Mopar project that he would enjoy.

There is no rust/ rot on my truck.
I have a small hole cut on driver side rocker waiting to be patched.
I have already had the front driver floor pan replaced.
The windshield has a crack in it, and although the tires have plenty of meat left, they are cracking from age/dry rot.
I also am aware the 80's doors don't fit the 70's fenders 100% correct, I have just not found good doors yet.
I have tried to give the best, most honest description of the truck.

If you want a 4X4 warlock or little red express/midnight express tribute and you have a MOPAR project from 1968-1974 that is of comparable value then maybe we can work out a swap.

Please don't waste time with silly one sided offers, as I am not actively trying to sell this truck.
It runs great, I need a 4x4 for winter, and I am enjoying slowly changing it into my dream truck.
But I would send it packing in order to get my son a MOPAR we can build.
OR a 426 Hemi for my 69 Charger, LOL.

If interstead let me know what you have, thanks!!

Change of plans, my son wanted a Jeep wrangler, so I got him one.

Because I am no longer in need of project car, I will dream big and offer to trade for a running 6.4 Hemi, or an undamaged 426 Hemi block, Mopar Performance one.

(Note: both a 2005 car intake manifold with injectors and TB, and a eagle intake, without injectors, go along with the 5.7 hemi short block, as I plan on bolting eagle heads to it, and I also have a complete Dana 60 rear for the truck, from a 1972)

Thanks.

I’d sell it to the guy who offered you.....’good money for the truck‘ & buy what you need.

I have had trade offers that far exceed the $3700 he had offered.
Also If I have cash, it will get spent on more sensible things, my wife will make sure of it!!!!
But if I traded it......
I also really don't need anything, I think I had just lost interest in it, and wanted to get my son an old Mopar.
But He wanted a Jeep Wrangler, so I got him a 1989 YJ with 4.2 auto. 120,000 miles, then
I also picked up a 1997 TJ with a blown 4cyl.

I like, a lot of car guys have "to many irons in the fire".
If I would stop spreading myself so thin, I would get something done!!!
I have started on my truck again, watching the Mopar Muscle truck, I was inspired, and A 4x4 with a plow saves my back from shoveling.

Funny. I went thru the same thing with one of my 41-year old sons. He wanted to do a car like my coronet, so I found him one, plus a parts car to use. Long story short......he decides he wants to ‘restore’ a 64-68 mustang, wth! He then finds 8 to10 of them In the 5k & below range over a year’s period, that need someone’s heart & soul put into them to make them a worthy car again. First, I hate mustangs, to me they’re rust buckets, plus the restore would be carried out by grand ole me, his now 71 year old daddy, Ha! Told him to spend 15k & get a nice one to drive, I’d even find one for him! it’s been two years now & not a word has been said about finding him a car. Nuff said.

I hear that, I got him Jeep, and he hasn't done anything with it!!!
Not even clean it out, not even drive it, and I have taken it in the trails three times lol
