About a month or so ago, I was chosen/volunteered to be viper certified. Well, lucky me. I got to spend the last 2 days in Las Vegas with one of those days as a track day at Las Vegas motor speedway. Wow,what a track!
They let us drive the new Vipers and get into them a little, then put us in the passenger seat with a pro driver. They ran king hell out of these cars all day long. I mean like 10 plus hours non stop flogging these things to the max. They are essentially test mules. Not "real"cars. They are pre production with no vins. They will be run to near death then sent off to be used in technical training and then for crash testing or sowe were told. Even the blue with white stripes car is like that. Only the first 150 cars will get that color and then that is it. They have number plaques on the dash and the one in the pictures is 000. This video doesnt rally give the car its due. It has 640hp and 600 lbs.ft torque. And it weighs 3300. It freaking moves, and turns like its on rails.

This one is from the end of the day from the outside, sorry its not better quality but it is only a phone camcorder.

We also got to drive every other srt car. They had road courses set up with timers for the grand cherokee and challengers. Then there were 2 head to head challenges witht he 300 and charger. The 300 was to me the best all around car. I have video of the salesman from my store running the 300in the head to head, You start off in 1 box, while someone else starts in the other box. You run half the course. stop for a second in the other starting box, then contue on to your originalstart point. the first one back wins. It was a blast. We got to keep going and going. I actually got boring by the end of the day because we did it so much.
