Dodge_Coronet_Concept_by_MOPARMaGNuM78.jpg2014 Dodge Coronet Concept....Interesting :argue:

:sSig_thanks:Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm:thinker:

It's obvious who they are trying to cater to with the rap song in the background. Maybe instead of trying to make it work for the homeboys, they should make it closer to what gearheads would want.

Not ready for a nausea session, but it is,uh...interesting. Lose the scoop in front of the rear wheels, for one. The vent window is unique, but would never see production for cost and "safety" reasons. I'm mixed on the front end;I like(somewhat) the '70 styling cues, but the bumper kind of screws with that. The roof and "C" pillar does hit the mark,as far as the "Coronet" look, but then tails off into a strange rear end.

I'd still rather have a new Challenger.

First pic is likely not something from Chrysler, but some dude at a computer, with limited vision, skills, imagination, and design accumen! I too want to puke!

:iamwithstupid: The 1st one doesn't look like it was a Dodge Concept, but the SRT video does... I like the Green but that's about were it stops... They're different... It's a good idea maybe, if they do a little more styling cues from the 60's or even the 70 Super Bee/Coronet instead of the rendering of the 70 Coronet styling with all the exaggerated & way out of proportion styling... my $0.02 cents

Ignore the top drawing, it's just some guy's personal impression. Jonathan Payseur Jr. has a portfolio of art on youtube.

It's the second screen with the SRT Coronet that you should be interested in. I mean, one of the things a lot of people complain about is a four door Charger...at least this concept is a two door.

The 70 Coronet will sort of grow on you after a while. But I seriously doubt that green #$^%@!) will grow on anybody. Hell why not just make it a hatchback with suicide doors & T tops.

First of all BOTH are by the same guy and neither are from Chrysler. Guy has terrible photo editing skills. The second car is nothing more then a Charger with the word Coronet stuck on the front bumper.

My .02 is that this guy needs to give up on computer editing or take some classes. I'd love to see a modern take on a coronet like they did with the Challenger. I think it pays tribute to a legacy not destroys history. But these two make me want to puke x4.

The links to 2014 coronet are BS I think.....Looked into more..The individual who posts on YouTube under "MOPAR PERFORMANCE". He also on other forums showing off his art work....Concept vehicles would only come from Dodge/Chrysler/SRT/Ram/Jeep Divisions... My apologies ......

I always thought they should have called the new Charger a Coronet and made a real Charger two door. The Challenger should show them that they hit a home run with it. I think they paid attention to Ford with the Mustang. I have heard from the Ford guys in my area that they love the new Challenger.

That's exactly what drove the Charger, and why the first Chargers looked nothing like their predecessors. Ford took the retro market by storm with the 2005 Mustangs, and that really shook up Chrysler and Chevy, which had just announced the death of the Camaro the year before. Chrysler took whatever the Charger was initially planned as and changed the name to get a car into the retro market as quickly as possible, which is why they badged a four-door with nothing in common with past Chargers but a name. Chevy traded time for looks and brought the Camaro back from the dead, with heavy use of vintage styling cues, a few years later. The release of the new Camaro was enough to embarrass Chrysler to the point they started adding some retro cues to the Charger, but they're still largely add ons to a car that wasn't designed to be a Charger from the ground up.
