Recently picked up a 2468370 big block bellhousing. I would just like to know if the bellhousing can be used in a 66 Coronet with a 440 i have planned? The bellhousing takes a 10.5" 130 tooth flywheel and 4.354 bearing retainer. Brewers says it's for 65 b/c body. Passon says '65 - '67 B/C Body / '67 - '69 A-body, number 2468370 or 2468372. Any problems i might run into with this setup? Thanks

The clutch forks/and their pivots change shape with different years and body styles. I think both Brewers and Passion have these available if yours does not line up clutch adjuster rod fairly straight, or parallel to the ground.
The piviot ball for the Bellcrank/Z bar is usually in the same place on bell housing (for passcars) across all body lines.

I think Brewers has pictures on their website of the different clutch forks for different body styles. You could visually compare what you have with what you need and if it's different the pivot is most likely different, the pivot is hard to change with bell and trans in the car. Might save you some aggravation.

Thanks for the info. It's just in the planning stages right now and the plan is to convert from auto to 4 speed. Collecting parts at the moment. i have a tunnel hump, 66/67 coronet clutch/brake pedal assembly, the bellhousing, 130 tooth flywheel. I also have a couple 23 spline a833's but i think they have the 4.805 bearing retainers. Not sure if i can swap to a smaller retainer or not. If this bellhousing is going to be problematic i could always look for a scattershield and sell this one.

Our description is correct. The difference between the 370/372 bell is the fork spring hole is not drilled in the 370 bh. It can be added if using in the later model cars.

That's for the spring that keeps the fork, adjuster rod and Z bar lever all snugged up correct? Glad you guys that know what you are talking about are around. I would not have noticed it and been stretching the spring to God knows where.
Thanks

The good thing about a 307 bearing, is that the transmission can be used in all three sizes of bell housing pilot holes, with a simple retainer swap.

Thanks. I'll check them out. One is out of a 69 Coronet and the other is out of a 1970 b body.
