So,
I need shocks for a stock 2009 Ram 2500 quad cab 4x4 5.7 auto with a B&W gooseneck trailer in bed hitch.
I rarely use the goose neck and only tow a small boat on the trailer hitch it is under 2000 lbs.
74000 mile on factory shocks, tired of the front end wheel hop and the feeling of truck being air born and bouncing this way and that way on rough roads.
I don't expect my truck to ride like a Chrysler 300, but I want it to ride better than a 1940 power wagon.
Bilstein 5100 are what I am leaning towards, or their blue yellow 4600 I believe.
Thoughts or experiences on these would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

Bilstein. I just ordered a set for my 3500. A friend has them on his 2500, and it rides nice. I had put HD Monroes on the front, and it rides worse than the old originals. The 2wd 3500 and 4x4 2500 are apples to oranges....but I was impressed.

Had Bilsteins on my 2500 4x4 and loved them.
Pretty stiff until I got a few miles on them, unless it was loaded.

Bilsteins all the way, also do the steering stabilizer too.

Sounds like I will be going with the Bilsteins.
Anything I need to watch or look out for with the instalation?
Read a couple of threads where they had trouble because the shocks were hard to compress to get installed ?
I am not totally inept, just nice to know ahead of time that y goes in front of x, not vice versu.
Thanks in advance
