Where can I get 292 gears for my 69 RR? All I can find are in the 3s.

I don't think that any company makes gears taller than a 3.23.

So what does he mean that a 2.93 also fits a 2.94? Same carrier perhaps? And the OP lists 2.92. I thought the next taller ratio after 3.23 was 2.94. Never heard of 2.92 or 2.93.

This listing is for a NOS Ring Gear & Pinion 8.75 Fits Some 62-68 Models 2.93:1. Fits 62-64 Plymouth Dodge 8 Cylinder, 65-68 Models, 59 Dodge 8 Cylinder. Also fits 2.94:1 Ratio. This is a 1 3/4" step pinion that would fit the 742 case. This will fit all of the 742 cases.

I have sub 3 gears (open in 489 case) that came with the car. I believe the rear axle and case were from a c body.

That's new to me. All I've ever seen were 2.94's and I've been messing with this stuff since 1970....and think I have a used set of 2.94's hiding someplace.

I have never heard of a 2.92 or 2.93 either for the 8-3/4 rear...some may be not rounding up the final digit,

2.94 is what I have always heard them called.

2.76, 2.94, 3.23, 3.31, 3.55, 3.91 are the most common ratios I have heard them called

There are 2.76 and 2.94.

3.31????

wondering if anyone was gonna see that...yea...67 only from what I have found out...I got a pumpkin here with those gears in it. Not sure what I'm gonna do with them, but I got them

Had no idea! Probably because I was never into the early cars.

i have two '741 case center sections. one with 2.93 gears out of a 65 coronet and the other 2.94 gears out of a 67 coronet. the gear teeth count on the ring and pinions are totally different and no way to interchange.
