295/50-15 on 8" on '65

Since wheel/tire combo seems to be one of our favorite topics on here, I thought I'd post some pics of a test combo that I tried.

Right now I have 275/60-15 on a 10" rim
The combo in this post is a 295/50-15 on a mopar 8" wheel. The wheel may be a bit narrow for the 295, but I don't think the sidewall bulge is that bad.

I have the springs relocated inward. My hunch is that this combo won't work with standard spring location, but I'm not sure.

I'm also thinking about going from the "all white wheel look" to black in the back (this pic is 275 on 10")

The wheels (the black ones in the pics) were Chrysler 8" wheels. Measuring from the flange face to the inside lip is 4.25 I think.

I only mounted one of them because the wheel was a loaner so I didn't take a rear pic

I been beating my brains out all weekend trying to decide on what wheel tire combo to do on my coronet. I have 15x8.5 with 41/4 bs on now with n-50 tires. Would love to have a steelie on the rear but would like to do 15x10. I would also like to see a rear shot of your wheel tire combo. Thanks for any help you can give.

Dodge330, I looked through my receipts but can't find the studs. I'm sure they were from Summit or Jegs. Nothing really special.

Thanks for the comments on the wheel color. Me & RS23VOA have been debating and I'm torn. I really like the Torq-Thrust front and black back look. But white all around has been my favorite for years
