You have standard rear suspension set up? I thought 275-60-15's were the biggest most run. Thanks.

Standard rear suspension. About 3/4 inch between tire and leaf spring. Front side about 1/2 inch between quarter panel lip and tire.

Wonder how much wider the tires would be on a 10" rim?

Then I think there could be a problem. The 8" rim pulls the sidewall in a little bit. 8" is the minimum u should go with but I've seen guys use 7's.

That's what I was thinking. I can fit 295's with a 10" rim on my 69 Road Runner, but they are tight. A lot less room than you have with the 8" rim. I wasn't aware an 8" rim was recommended for a 295 tire, but then I know of a guy who runs 275/60's on a 10" rim which isn't listed as being ideal either.

My 295/50/15 on a 10" rim measure 12 3/8" sidewall to sidewall.

Just saying

This is good info. 295 on 8” rim on this 69. Inside left wall just kissed leaf on track day or when pushed hard. A spacer from the Kern solved that.
