I've got a 72 plymouth satellite. I'm not familiar with how wide of a tire/rim combo will fit under the rear. Will 295/50 r15 tires fit under there on a 15x10 rim? Do I need a 5 or 5.5 inch backspace? Anyone have any pictures? Thanks!

image.jpgThis is on a 69 and won't answer your question. But I prefer the look of an 8" rim with 295 50 15's. Gives it more of a donut/cartoon look.

I have that tire on my 72 RR, on a 7" rim, definitely narrrower rim than recommended. It is pretty close to both the leaf spring and the wheel lip of the quarter panel. I will see if I can get pictures

One of my parts car '73 Chargers had 295 50 15 on 8 inch Keystones.

No issues at all and filled out the wheel well almost like it was meant for it.

Of course the Charger rear quarter is almost perfectly round where the Plymouth in kind of squared off, perhaps making the clearance tighter.

That car also had 245 60 14 on 14x7 rims on the front!

I ran a 275 60 (15x7) on my 71 Satellite...it was taller and no fitment issues-245 70 on fronts
