2BBL to 4BBL upgrade

So I'm going to upgrade my 318 2bbl to a 4bbl edelbrock intake and carb.

Question: Do I have to change the automatic transmission kick down linkage?

2nd Question: Anyone have a source for the kickdown linkage springs?

Don't know about the linkage and springs...but if you just use the car for friendly cruising it's probably better to just keep the 2-port...

Just about anytime you make an intake/carb change that deviates from stock, you will also need to modify the kick down linkage.

If you've got the extra cash, you might consider this. Otherwise, Edelbrock sells what you need to convert your stock carb linkage. That's what I used. HTH

Linkage is easy. You can extend it.

Throttle cable bracket is a bit harder, but it can be modded/bent/added to.
