I keep reading about 30 Deg black paint. I think that means satin black.....correct?

0 would be no gloss at all...total flat so 30% would be some gloss....like the paint used on dash boards.

Actually what was used on dashes was a "suede" paint.
Yup, but technically, it has a % number. Suedes and flats run hand in hand....6 of one, half dozen of the other type of thing.

Sounds like the Leinenkugels variety pack that mysteriously disappeared out of my fridge last night. :icon_pidu:

paint

so I guess that what I said is correct? Satin black.
Thanks

I'm no paint expert....semi gloss the same as satin gloss? Are you painting something yourself? You can add a flattener to get the desired result....

Satin is less glossy than semi-gloss. satin is closer to flat in appearance, but it has a film on it to protect it more (scuffs and what not) than a flat with no film would.

BTW Leinie's Dark is the sh*t!!! went to their oktoberfest in eau claire last year on the way to canada, and we all got royally sh*t faced!!! some of the nicest drunks i know are up that-a-way...:angel1:

The suede has a texture to it that is similar to "dry spraying", which is not the same as a semi gloss.
