Towed my HemiCuda from Manitoba to B.C. (1300 miles one way) over the rockies with my black 86. It did just fine. Towed lots with my 92 318 Magnum too, even better. Open trailer works a lot better than an enclosed for a little engine though. A Cummins is better of course but these little guys will do for occassional towing. Of course I bought mine new so the engines were in good shape.

I think the 318 is too often overlooked for the engine it is. Everyone always on the hunt for a 440 car/vehicle or wants to swap out the 318 for a 340, 360, 383, 440, Hemi. Thats a bunch of malarkey! I have a 74 Coronet Custom with a 318 and am impressed with it every time I drive it!
