My 70' charger heads needs an oversize exhaust valves. If Im correct, last oversize valve stem diameter is 0.372' / 9.45mm.
If its >0.372' then whats the options? Valves from 340 or 360 heads? Make bore for valve guides? Change heads?
Help!!

What you need to do is take them to a machine shop, and have them:

1) Cleaned
2) New guides installed
3) Valve job
4) Surface heads
5) Assembles with NEW valves, springs, and seals

Sooooo.....guides can be changed. Machinist told me that guides can't change, only valves with oversize. Looks like I need to change machinist. LOL

Guides are drilled/reamed out for a 0.502" replacement guide. They can be bronze, or cast iron. I use cast iron for replacements. While some shops will ream the guides 0.015" for an oversized stem I don't do that. If you ever have to replace a valve, or new guides, everything needs to be replaced. I just had a pair of heads that the old valve stems were ground down, bronze liners installed, and finished to a smaller size. Some people seem to not care about what the next guy has to do to work on the heads...
