I’ve got a good 1968 340 block .030
Machine shop bill was $6 or 700
Is it worth $1000

When you say "machine shop bill was $600-$700"...did you have the block magged, and sonic checked? If so, what were the results??
I think if the block checked out fine, you should be able to get at least $1,000-$1,200 for it.
