I have a 340 from a 72 Duster that was in my 68 Satellite, it was bone stock with factory manifolds.
The engine is being rebuilt by Brian Roche, he's stroking it to a 383.
What headers should I run? I've looked at Doug's, TTI, Doug Thorley and Hooker.
Tell me what would be the best bang for the buck

They all work, depends how tight your purse strings are.

340 into a 383.. never heard of that package before.

I know the TTIs are expensive, but everyone who has them likes them. They fit above the steering link tie rod ends. Many of the older headers would hang down and the steering would go through above the pipes on the drivers side which usually resulted in smashed headers.

^^^^ What he said..... Used to do these back in the day, I can't be specific in memory, but a few brands would hang way too low to the ground. If the TTIs are what he ^ says, there's no debate. ( P.S. I recall one small-block b-body job, either Blackjack or Appliance, were a good fit for ground clearance )
