i have a 360 i need to put heads on,i've read where you can kill the compression if you choose the wrong ones.this is just a driver and i'm not concerned with flow performance just want something that will work ok. i have 2 sets of 318 heads,1969,1974.also have a set of 340 heads but not sure what exactly they are.any advice would be appreciated

casting #s on 340 heads 1 head is 5300574 also has j18 hn68 other 340 just has h299 714 both 318 heads one set from a 69 and the other 74 have the same # 2843675 one also has 2913 the other has 1108

I'm not familiar with this 340 casting number (5300574) nor can I find it in any charts, so I could not make any recommendations on it's use. The 318 heads would restrict the 360 in the upper RPMs with the 1.78/1.50 valves, but they would raise the compression. I hope someone else chimes in on this.
