383 oil pan

I am putting a 383 out of a c body into my 72charger i assume the c body oil pan wouldn't fit but was just looking for a confirmation

Is there a number on the bottom of the pan? like 187,402 etc etc..

The C body platform is actually a strange one for fitment. Some required special oil pans for idler arm clearance.
What fits a C body usually fits a B body just fine. If you are looking for a pan that is guaranteed to fit your car, a # 402 or a #187 pan fits.
