3M adhesive

The 3M adhesive that's the automotive weatherstrip is the best I've used. Read the directions and you're good. I have tried a couple other brands, not good.

I like 3M black weatherstripping adhesive. Work in short segments per instructions and use lots of masking tape strips to hold it in position for several hours until it is set.

Hmm - guess someone either doesn’t like 3M weatherstrip adhesive or the use of masking tape. If masking tape is the issue, they apparently have never installed weatherstripping on a mid-year Corvette or Cobra replica or bothered to glue down the end tabs on the Mopar door and roof rail weatherstripping.

The 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive that I am familiar with doesn't take hours to set, just a matter of a few minutes. I use wooden clothespins on the trunk seals. On other things, yes masking tape can be useful if you don't want to hold it in place for a couple of minutes.

Do your research on application. There are several good YouTube vids on it
