So I got the wrong bellhousing with my tranny. I didn't notice until I got all the parts and made a mockup. So there's 2 things I can do:

1. order a new bellhousing
2. machine a ring (spacer) to fill the space between the bellhousing and the input bearing retainer.

I choose the second option because all the other parts I ordered match the bellhousing.

Anyone did this before?

You could change the retainer too, right? That would be my first choice I think.

I believe Lakewood sold a spacer ring for just this reason because all their bell housings were for the large OD retainer. Check Summit. If you are going to make one (more fun making chips!) Just make sure the ID and OD are concentric and the ring fits tight into the bell housing.

Or, as mentioned, you can just swap the retainer. There was a large OD retainer made for the 307 bearing.

passion transmissions has a ring for that aprox $20

I do have a spacerring, will check the measurement and come back to you, shipping to Netherland no problem, still in EU

Thanks for the tips and help, but my father-in-law helped me out. He machined a spacerring and it just works out perfectly!
