4 spd clutch fork install

Hi all

Maybe Im doing something wrong

I installed my 4spd trans in with throw out bearing on

Im trying to get clutch fork on but I cant slide it behind the throw out bearing and into the clips. The throw out bearing is already up against the clutch

Am I supposed to back out tranny now and assemble this clutch fork on bearing and then slide tranny on?

Yup. Been there done that. Back the transmission out.

Should be doable with a stock bellhousing and the inspection cover off. Should try it with a Lakewood scatter shield.

Hold the fork and use a pair of bent tip needle nose to lift the spring curls into place... How I got my Hemi's fork clip into place after finding it this way when I bought the car.
