Will a 69 b-body 4 speed fit in a 63-65 b-body? I know the speedometer cable goes in a different spot and the 69 will be slip yoke but wondering about the shifter mount location and if it is close or the same location as a early b-body one would be.
Thanks,James

Yes. It will fit.

Hey Rusty, I thought the early A-body had the short tail shaft with the ball thing on the back shaft ? Like that one I had shown you when we loaded that motor.

I don't know how to be more clear. YES the frikkin thing WILL FIT.

Right, but he already said he had that covered. Remember too, the A body has a different shifter location on the tail shaft compared to the B body. As long as his later transmission is a B body trans, it'll go right in and all he'll have to do is configure the drive shaft.

Yup, long as it's a B body trans, all is well. Now, there are a couple of different shifter adapters. You may need to get the right one.

Or i could just sell him this one i have that i believe is for a car like he has and that would make his job much easier don't ya think ?
