Not sure which model, but it should be for a console car. Maybe an A body?:edgy:

From the pic I'd have to say that's a B body shifter for a console. Rare piece.

I quote dodgecharger.com member John Kunkel,

"6353= '68-'69 B Body and '68-up A body"

Nice unit. The shifter handle is definitely for a console, and a rare piece.

'68 B bodies mostly had Inland shifters, with the reverse lock out. This is a 1969, only I believe, GTX-R/T console shifter

Sometime in early '68 the Inland was upgraded to the Hurst shifter, at least on the Chargers. So it can be either a '68 or '69 shifter.

They changed over around 1-68 to the Hurst shifters, so it was a mid year intro.

Yep, mid `68 and `69, but I did not know the month the change was made, thanks for the info. I think my `68 was built in late December, I'll have to doublecheck, not that I would use the Inland for the "DOG".

Hurst cars had the reverse light on the dash. Personally I have never seen one with out a light, but have heard some early hurst cars didn't get them.
