4 speed transmission pros

Was a 4 speed trans ever made with a aluminum front and iron tailhouse has eleven bolts on side cover,and has 18 splines,or is this a frankenstein transmission, i have no pics of it.

Aluminum case 833's were made for sure, in the long and short versions, but factory with 23 splines. I'm betting on a Frankenstein tranny.
