just seen a commercial this morning about the Las Vegas speedway opening up the 4 wide dragstrip that should be different
Pretty exciting when all 4 actually make it down the track. That's the problem with nitro burners though, usually at least one of them breaks or something goes wrong.Should make for quick racing having 4 cars at one time
I go the Charlotte every year, they have a 4 wide track. You will want GOOD ear protection. When 40,000 horse power kicks in at one time, it is LOUD!! They shake the grandstand, I love it!
I have to say the 4 wides have a lot going on at once and I prefer the old fashion 2 lanes but once a year, it's pretty cool. Charlotte and Bristol are the only 2 close enough for me to go to without spending a small fortune. They can stick the 4 wide crap where the sun don’t shine. It might be great in person but on tv it sucks.
Its ok for one event a year but thats enough for me. IMHO

No comparisonWatching it on tv sucks in my opinion. Once you've watched Top fuel in person, there's nothing like being there.
No comparison
Top Fuel man, it's a different world and cool to watch in person but I still prefer the days when 2 guys lined the cars up that they built in their garage and whoever made it down the quarter first won. Same with nascar, it used to be a bunch of good ol boys racing stock cars. Professional racing is no longer a common mans sport, it's a business.Drag racing is a two car side by side sport. Anything else is bullshit.
