my motor is a mutt
I have a mutt of a motor. The car is a 69 Super Bee. The block is a 70 383, the exhaust came off a 70-71 c body, the intake 60-67 4 bbl, The connecting rods are correct for a 68-71 383. The dampner is a 72-73 cast crank part#. The shape of the dampner indicates that it was externally balanced where the 383 was internally. The crank appears to be cast. On one end it reads 123 and in another area it reads 3441 but this doesn't match with any #s I have seen before. Where would I find the casting# on the crank. Did someone try to create a stroker motor? Whats your opinion on this?
