Does anyone know if you can put 440 heads and intake on a 413 industrial motor and what other changes need to be made?
 
413, industrial or not, is a RB block like the 440. I've started to build one now and plan to use 906 heads on it with either a stock dual plane intake or an alum performer that I have.
Though it's worth mentioning that the waterpump housing has to change if it was plumbed into the heads.
I will likely change the timing cover & damper to use the 440 pulleys. Some of the industrial blocks have timing gears instead of a chain and a cam that runs reverse.

Interesting note on a reverse rotation cam & OEM gear drive.

To bobgears....yep, the 440 parts will bolt right up. I had a '65 or so 413 that I put into a '69 Road Runner many years ago with 906 heads and a stock 440 cam. Everything bolted up just fine, though thinking back on it, I bet my compression ratio was pretty low. The stock pistons might be "down in the hole" quite a bit. I'm not sure at all on that, but I think all/most of the 413's came with closed-chamber heads, so it wouldn't surprise me.
 
Just to let you know, this thread is in the wrong section and will probably get moved.
It's worth mentioning that some of the industrial blocks also have 8 bolt cranks and I believe clearance differences with the flexplate. Do lot's of research and take a good look at the block as I did. Mine has a standard 6 bolt forged crank.
My block is in the builders shop and a quick sonic check revealed very thick cylinder walls. He's planning on boring it out to 426 spec, about .070 over with lot's of room to spare. Also, I was told that these blocks had high nickel content and wear very little, which might explain my near perfect cylinders.
 
Hi , I'm not a mechanic and I'm probably wrong and will be corrected , however , if you had a 413
( "motorhome" block as I call them ) and you rebored by + 30 would you then have 426 cu in ? Then add some hemi heads and essentially have a hemi engine ?
 
A 413 has a bore size of 4.18" and a 426 is 4.250". The difference is 0.070" not .030. A 413 is an RB motor like a 440 and may share the same heads but not hemi heads.
