I am a brand new member and just took a 1967 coronet 440 in on trade. It has a 426 Indy street wedge with aluminum heads with solid lifter cam and since I don't know anything about the motor specs wondering what to set the solid lifter cam at? First setting at 22, motor was lazy - then set at 26 improved performance greatly. However, since I am looking into your crystal ball should the setting be between 30 and 32? Second question - why is it called the dark side even though I have all the lights shut off?

not really knowing the compression and other things about the engine, 28-32 is some what safe.
